There is something so effortlessly elegant about a blue and white wedding in the heart of August. Courtney and Matt’s day at Pinebrook Golf Club was the perfect example of how a refined vision, layered florals, and thoughtful design details can transform a space into something truly unforgettable.
From the very beginning, Courtney came to us with a clear vision. She knew she wanted white and blue to anchor the design and she dreamed of florals that felt lush, romantic, and abundant without overwhelming the natural beauty of the setting. Our role was to take that vision and elevate it.
We worked closely with Flowers by Janie to refine the palette and increase the floral moments throughout the ceremony and reception. The result was layered arrangements filled with creamy white roses, soft hydrangeas, delicate delphinium, and airy blooms that danced in the warm summer breeze. The ceremony aisle felt like it was blooming straight from the ground, creating an organic garden effect against the rolling green backdrop of Pinebrook. It was soft, elevated, and timeless all at once.
August gifted us the most beautiful warm day. The sunshine made the blues feel fresh and vibrant while the whites glowed in the afternoon light. This color palette is often underestimated, but when done intentionally, it is undeniably classic. Blue and white will never go out of style. It photographs beautifully, feels crisp and romantic, and allows texture and shape to truly shine.
For the reception, we wanted to deepen the blue tones and create more visual impact inside the room. Blue tablecloths anchored the space and allowed the florals to do most of the talking. By keeping the base strong and cohesive, the arrangements felt even more lush and dimensional. The mix of soft whites with layered blues created a space that felt refined but still warm and inviting.
One of the most personal touches of the day was Courtney’s stationery. She designed it all herself, weaving in subtle nods to Taylor Swift songs and meaningful moments from their relationship. These quiet details added personality without distracting from the overall aesthetic. It was a beautiful reminder that the best design always tells a story.
As the sun set, the celebration shifted from elegant garden romance to full dance floor energy. Courtney and Matt danced the night away surrounded by the people who love them most. The room felt full, the florals glowed in the evening light, and every corner reflected intentional design choices made months before.
This wedding was a perfect balance of vision and collaboration. Courtney brought the dream. We refined, layered, and designed. Together with Flowers by Janie, we created a blue and white celebration that felt timeless, romantic, and completely their own.
Courtney and Matt’s August wedding at Pinebrook Golf Club will always remind us that sometimes the most classic palettes, when done well, make the boldest statement.
