Hi, I’m Amanda, Lead Planner & Designer at Day of Diva.
I started Day of Diva with a background in Business Management and Event Planning, inspired to create a company that turns wedding planning from stressful to seamless. What began as a one-woman show has grown into a talented team serving couples across the Rocky Mountains and beyond.
With six years and over 200 weddings behind me, I now personally take on fewer than 15 events each year so I can dedicate my full attention to my clients and support our growing team of planners. My focus is on creating intentional, beautifully designed celebrations that reflect each couple’s story, with every detail handled with care.
When I’m not planning weddings, you’ll find me outdoor, hiking, back country skiing, or exploring Canmore and Banff. That love for nature and adventure shines through in my work, bringing a sense of authenticity and effortless elegance to every event.

Before stepping into the wedding industry, Alyssa spent several years as a secondary school teacher, where she developed exceptional multitasking, problem-solving, and relationship-building skills. Before transitioning into weddings, Kate held senior event and operations roles across Calgary’s nonprofit, arts, and corporate sectors, managing everything from vendor logistics and timelines to volunteer teams and guest experience. Known for her ability to problem-solve in real time and keep things running smoothly behind the scenes, she is the steady presence couples and vendors rely on throughout the day.
