Vendor Feature: DJ

When it comes to creating an unforgettable wedding atmosphere, music plays a huge role—and no one does it better than Kaleb and his team at Revolution Entertainment. We’ve had the pleasure of working with them for years, and time after time, they bring incredible energy, seamless transitions, and a packed dance floor to every event.

In this exclusive interview, we’re excited to shine a spotlight on one of our most trusted wedding DJs. From first dance favorites to pro tips on reading the crowd, Kaleb shares his insights, experience, and what makes a wedding celebration truly memorable through music. Let’s dive in!

How long have you been a DJ, and how did you get into it?

I’ve been DJing for about six years now. It actually started with my twin brother. He got into DJing first when he was 19. I remember him coming home from weddings, raving about how much fun it was making bridesmaids dance, meeting all kinds of people, and basically getting paid to party. After a few months, he needed another DJ to help out, and he thought I’d be perfect for it. After hearing him hype it up so much, of course, I had to give it a shot and I’ve been hooked ever since.

What’s your favorite part about being a DJ?

I love the feeling of knowing I helped make someone’s wedding unforgettable. There’s nothing like talking to the newlyweds after a wedding and seeing how thankful they are towards me for making their night and party. I actually have a wall full of Google reviews from past couples, and every time I read them, it reminds me why I love what I do. It’s honestly addicting bringing the vibes, creating moments, and making sure people leave the night saying, “That was the best wedding ever.”

What’s something you wish couples knew before booking a wedding DJ?

A lot of couples tell me about nightmare experiences with old wedding DJs. The ones who play the same cheesy wedding songs, let every track play out in full with no mixing, and have transitions that make you want to cry in the shower. I just want people to know I’m the opposite of that. I love mixing, clean transitions, and knowing every genre inside and out. There’s nothing better than seeing a couple’s reaction when I hit them with a cool transition into a banger.

What’s your favorite music genre and why?

I honestly listen to everything and even make my own remixes, but I’ll always have a soft spot for ’90s and ’00s R&B. That’s the music I grew up on, and to this day, it’s my go to for vibing in the car.

What’s your favorite way to get people on the dance floor?

I start setting the vibe during dinner with lowkey bangers. Songs that get people grooving in their chairs without even realizing it. By the time dancing starts, they’re already warmed up. Then, I hit them with the bangers and transitions.

How do you create playlists and decide what music to play for different couples?

My playlists are super organized by genre, decade, and vibe, so when I’m DJing, I can instantly pull up the track I need. But the real key is reading the crowd. I pay attention to what’s getting people excited and adjust on the fly. Every wedding is different, and I love tailoring the music to match the energy of the couple and their guests.
